Anschutz Plumbing & Heating, Inc.

Established 1978

Wilmer Anschutz purchased the plumbing and heating company from his employer of 22 years in 1978.  He serviced the Door County area for 20 years when in 1998 he sold the business to his four sons.  Jim (the eldest) specializes in septic systems and drinking water systems.  He is a Master Plumber, Certified Soil Tester, Designer of Engineering Systems, Licensed Pump Installer and Privately Owned Waste Water Treatment System (POWTS) Maintainer.  The Interior Plumbing portion of the business is handled by David and Todd.  Both David and Todd are Master Plumbers while Todd also holds a Pump Installer's License.  Tom (the youngest) is a Journeyman Plumber, Licensed Pump Installer and is responsible for repairs, re-activation and winterization of over 400 homes.  Jim's wife, Barbara, manages the office.  As well as the five above, AP&H has in its employ three Journeyman Plumbers, Sean Moroney, Jeff Adams, & Ben Anschutz (Barbara & Jim's son), one Plumber's Apprentice, Brett Anschutz (David's son), HVAC Manager Derrick Ellefson, and two Heating Technicians, Kyle Krauel and Bryan Lehman.

AP&H has been a leader in plumbing, septic, heating and well work.  We have had the pleasure of plumbing homes from 1000 sq. ft. to as large as 40,000 sq. ft..  Jim was asked to install the first Sand Filter Septic System in Door County on Washington Island.  Our Heating Department is second to none when it comes to Radiant Heat design and installation.  We are one of the only plumbing companies in Door County that will batch chlorinate private wells to destroy iron bacteria and coli form bacteria.

AP&H is a very community minded organization.  We have donated our time and material to such groups as Habitat for Humanity, American Folklore Theater, Sister Bay Historical Society and the Baileys Harbor Community Association.  Barbara is currently in her fourth term as a Supervisor for the Town of Baileys Harbor.

AP&H has enjoyed a healthy and progressive business from the start and has grown with the county.  Some of the larger projects we have worked on include Lawrence Universities Bjorklunden, Hidden Harbor Condominiums, The Oaks Condominiums, Cherry Hills and Peninsula Art School.  With the development of Door County we have experienced annual sales of $1.4 million plus and look forward to the challenge of offering our customers the most advanced products, most knowledgeable technicians and the finest service a company can offer.
